Saudis Strengthen Alliance with Sudan
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman met with the deputy chief of Sudan's military council Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo
The Sudanese general vowed to back regional ally Saudi Arabia against "all threats and attacks" from its rival Iran. "Sudan is standing with the kingdom against all threats and attacks from Iran and Huthi militias," Dagalo told MbS.
Saudia has already given Sudan $3BILLION aid this year and MBS has pledged more – on the condition that Sudanese forces we keep staying in Yemen as long as the war prolongs.
The Saudis have dragged Sudan into their war!
Earlier Omer al Bashir stepped down on 11th April this year, after months of protests.
The military took over control, forming a transition government, promising to transfer power to a civil government in 2years.
Al-Bashir has ruled the country since 1989, when he led a successful coup against the elected PM of the time, Sadiq al-Mahdi.
People wondered - is this another link in the Arab Spring movement, wherein outside forces were behind huge protests in toppling several Arab governments in MENA.
